Dr. Ann Beatty earned a BA in both Psychology and Music from Tarkio College in Tarkio, Missouri. She then went on to receive her MA in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. After obtaining this, Dr. Beatty received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the Forrest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to this, she has had extensive training in extended forensic evaluation of children of sexual abuse, civil and family mediation.
Dr. Beatty was elected as the southwest region's representative for the Association of Missouri Mediator's executive board in 2008 and served a two year term. She is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. and is recognized as a mediator on the Greene County Family Court list. In the past, Dr. Beatty has served on the multidisciplinary board for the Child Advocacy Center, the Christian County Domestic Violence Task Force and the executive board for Headstart.
In her private practice, Dr. Beatty has accumulated years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked with the court system in several counties to reunify families, to aid in settlement of high conflict custody cases, to provide court ordered therapeutic supervision for high conflict families, and has been qualified as an expert witness in several courts. Dr. Beatty has also worked with the school systems and families to evaluate children for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Dr. Beatty has instructed numerous parenting classes including those required by the courts for dissolution and paternity cases. She has also presented workshops on sexual abuse and its effects on both children and family.
